ECTRI TG Economics & Policy Webinar: Citizen-generated data for mobility and safety planning

On January 30th, ECTRI Thematic Group Economics & Policy discussed how citizen-generated information can meaningfully support sustainable mobility and road-safety planning, in a presentation titled “Participatory smart cities: a crowdsourced data integration model for sustainable and safer mobility.”

Manuel Merolla,from the Research Centre for Transport and Logistics (CTLUp) of theSapienza University of Rome, presented a case study analysing the strengths and challenges faced by Danish municipalities in collecting citizen reports on issues such as cycling conditions, traffic safety, and public-space maintenance.
