The 11th edition of the Young Researchers Seminar is underway!

From May 15 to 17, the 11th edition of the Young Researchers Seminar supported by ECTRI, FEHRL, FERSI, EURNEX and HUMANIST is taking place in Lisbon, Portugal hosted by the National Laboratory for Civil Engineering.

After having received feedbacks from their tutors over the last months to prepare their papers, 33 young researchers are now presenting their research and getting further feedbacks on how to improve their presentation skills.

The programme includes 11 sessions, within the topics of Transport economics, policy, and transport behaviour, Transport sustainability and environment, Transport safety, ITS & Traffic management, Transport logistics and freight and Transport engineering (including road and railway infrastructures).

This Seminar edition also includes:

Dr. Thierry Goger (FEHRL Secretary General) making a presentation on “How to apply to EU funded research”.

Prof. Karst Geurs (Full Professor of Transport Planning, University of Twente, and Editor-in-Chief of European Transport Research Review (ETRR) speaking about how “Publishing a research article: selecting a journal, surviving the review”

Ana Pereira (ECTRI Project and Communication Manager) informing about the TRA 2024 and TRA VISIONS opportunities to showcase and get much-deserved visibility for the research work.

Finally, José Manuel Viegas (Founder and CEO of TIS.pt, former Secretary-General of the ITF, Full Professor of Transport at Instituto Superior Técnico) delivering the keynote speech on “Transport and mobility research in a period of deep change: a personal perspective”.
