As part of TRB Committees’ restructuring, the Transport Research Board International Coordinating Council and International Subcommittee have merged and will now form a new Executive Subcommittee on International Activities.
Anchored in international collaboration and knowledge exchange, this Subcommittee will serve as a bridge to connect TRB Standing Technical Committees, international colleagues and TRB MOU partners in TRB activities, committees and panels.
This Subcommittee is composed of representatives from TRB’s MOU partners, sponsors, and group liaisons from its standing committee structure. To that regard, ECTRI, thanks to its long-standing MOU with TRB, welcomes the nominations of ECTRI President Ingrid Skogsmo as MOU Liaison and of Maria Boile (from ECTRI Member CERTH) as Liaison for the TRB marine group.
ECTRI Secretary General Caroline Almeras is appointed as Vice Chair of the Subcommittee together with Christos Xenophontos, and will support the Subcommittee leadership and Chair Randell Iwasaki.
The Subcommittee on International Activities will engage in a first open meeting on January 11th, 2026 (8h-12h), during TRB’s Annual Meeting. Join us there!
