The ETRR journal awarded Springer Nature SDG Badge for the second year in a row

The European Transport Research Review has received the SDG Badge, an official recognition from the Springer Nature SDG Programme, highlighting the journal’s alignment with the UN Sustainable Goals. In 2025, over 57% of published articles addressed one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

In this framework, ETRR Editor-in-Chief Frank Witlox has been invited to speak to the event “Spotlight On… Championing SDG research: Connecting recognition to real-world impact », organised by ETRR Publisher Springer Nature, to present how the ETRR journal attracts high-quality research that aligns with the SDGs.

🎤 Speakers: Nicola Jones, Immaculata De Vivo, John Henry Scott and ETRR Editor-in-Chief Frank Witlox.

The two sessions will explore how SDG research can have meaningful, societal impact towards achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, with the notable role of Editors in turning SDG-related research into real-world impact.
