Kicking off the Young Researchers Seminar 2025 today!

Taking place from 3 to 5 June in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, and hosted by ECTRI Member Federal Highway and Transport Research Institute (BASt), the 12th Young Researchers Seminar YRS2025 is now underway!

This edition brings together 33 young researchers, who will present and discuss their work over three days with guidance from 13 expert tutors.

The scientific programme features 14 technical sessions across key transport research domains.

Beyond the academic exchange, a vibrant social programme will foster connections – from a tour of BASt’s research facilities to a guided visit of Cologne and plenty of networking opportunities.

Participants can also look forward to keynote speeches and cross-cutting sessions delivered by leading experts, including: Markus Oeser, Dr.-Ing. Carl Richter, Mette Møller, Boguslaw Jablkowski, Karola Lambeck, Timo Hoffmann, Ana Pereira.

YRS 2025 is made possible by the dedication of its organising team and Steering Committee, which includes representatives from the hosting institute, supporting organisations, and the previous seminar host.

We are looking forward to an(other) inspiring edition of the YRS!
