On February 10, the ECTRI Thematic Group on Traffic Management & Modelling hosted an enlightening webinar featuring cutting-edge research and solutions in the field of traffic management.
The webinar included two presentations:
1. “Identifying the scope of lane-based dynamic motorway traffic control in Sweden – Results from a literature review and workshops with Swedish stakeholders” by Kinjal Bhattacharyya and Johan Olstam from the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI), exploring how connected and automated vehicles can improve traffic management.
2. “An analytical approach to the estimation of vehicular communication reliability for intersection control applications” by Tibor Petrov from the University of Zilina, focusing on the reliability of vehicle communication for intersection control applications.
