In view to support European policies and programmes and to push towards an integrated, efficient and sustainable transport system, ECTRI provides independent and evidence-based advice to decision makers in Europe. For that, ECTRI keeps close contact and interacts with the European Commission’ (EC) services dealing with transport research and issues position papers to input Framework- and Work-Programmes and responds to relevant consultations of the EC in the field of transport.
