ECTRI holds its 2025 Autumn General Assembly in Zagreb

On December 10, ECTRI held its 2025 Autumn General Assembly hosted by its Croatian Member: the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences (FPZ) of the University of Zagreb in conjunction with the TRANSCODE Conference organised by FPZ.

The GA meeting was chaired by ECTRI President Ingrid Skogsmotogether with Board members, who presented the achievements on the priorities outlined in the 2025-2026 Implementation Plan. The Assembly approved the amended 2025 budget and the 2026 budget and confirmed its continued support to the ETRR journal. A warm welcome was extended to new Dutch Member, the Netherlands Institute for Transport Policy Analysis (KiM), introduced by its Director, Serge Van Dam. Politecnico di Milano was approved as a new Member of ECTRI joining from January 2026.

The Assembly provided an opportunity to engage Members in a workshop on the mid-term revision of the ECTRI Strategy 2021-2030. Live input from Members focused on selected Missions and Strategic Objectives, with particular attention to aligning expectations, contributions and responsibilities.

The meeting also featured a presentation by Domokos Esztergár-Kiss (BME) TRA 2026 Programme Committee Chair, and András Munkácsy (KTI) TRA 2026 CSA Project Coordinator, outlining the Conference development and opportunities for Members to engage in TRA 2026.

At the end, FPZ researchers provided Members with an enriching overview of their cutting-edge research through presentation and a laboratories tour.

ECTRI extends its sincere thanks to all Members for their valuable contributions, with special appreciation to the FPZ team for the excellent organisation of the GA, including the cultural visit of Zagreb’s historic centre and networking dinner, and for the opportunity to support and join the TRANSCODE Conference and to present ECTRI to the audience.
