Corinne Blanquart appointed President of Université Gustave Eiffel

ECTRI welcomes the appointment of Corinne Blanquart as President of ECTRI Member Université Gustave Eiffel. This new position was officialised by French national decree on February 21, 2026.  She succeeds Gilles Roussel, the first president of the experimental public establishment which became a “Grand Etablissement” in September 2025.

President Corinne Blanquart, senior research director and Doctor of Economics has led laboratories, departments and a site at INRETS and later at IFSTTAR, which became the Lille campus of Université Gustave Eiffel when it was created in 2020. In recent years, she served as Vice-President at Université Gustave Eiffel. She has also been actively involved in ECTRI since its inception, leading the Thematic Group on Freight and Logistics and, currently, serving as a Board Member.

ECTRI warmly thanks Gilles Roussel for his accomplishments in leading the establishment and development of University Gustave Eiffel as a unique multi-disciplinary institution in France at the heart of the challenges facing tomorrow’s cities and regions.

ECTRI also congratulates incoming President Corinne Blanquart for her appointment and looks forward to continued European collaboration with University Eiffel in advancing sciences in transport and mobility for more sustainable cities and territories.
