ECTRI Member Hellenic Institute of Transport (H.I.T.) and the Hellenic Institute of Transportation Engineers (H.I.T.E.) organised the “7th International Congress on Transportation Research” with the main theme: “From basic research to innovative applications”. The Conference series on Transport Research (ICTR) is considered a well established event in the transport sector in Greece and is addressed to all members of the scientific community as well as to agencies and authorities of all government levels. It also addresses the private sector industries activated in the design, development and implementation of innovative applications in the transport sector. The main goals of the conference are the presentation of recent research efforts and results, the consideration of contemporary developments in this area, the strengthening of relationships between research, practice and public policy and the exchange of opinions and experiences in the transport research arena at the national and international level.
