On January 24, 2023, ECTRI took part in the ITF Annual Consultation with International Organisations. The Consultation gathered key ITF international organisations and partners from the transport and mobility community to debate the themes of the ITF’s Annual Summit. Summary of discussions will be available in the next couple of weeks on the Summit website.

In 2023, the ITF Summit explores “Transport Enabling Sustainable Economies” in Leipzig, Germany from 24 to 26 May.

For the first time, as part of the of the main programme, the Research Sessions will reinforce the objective of supporting policy makers to plan their actions for the coming years, with knowledge and insights from researchers.

ITF and partners are calling for extended abstracts addressing the ITF Summit’s theme focusing on one of the below three topics:

  1. Finance transport climate adaptation to enhance resilience;
  2. Capture accessibility and road safety benefits in transport planning and financing in and outside of cities;
  3. Promote (circular) transport systems as critical components of a circular economy.

The deadline for extended abstract submission is February 20, 2023.

Further information on the call for abstracts can be found here.
