ECTRI Member Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt, Bundesanstalt für Straßenwesen) develops guidelines for effective noise reduction in complex situations with more than one mode of transport.
In a research project carried out within the framework of the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure BMVI-Network of Experts, the developed guide now serves as a tool for practical use with which an assessment of an overall noise situation can be approached and suitable noise reduction measures can be systematically found. The guide is now to be tested and further developed in practice in a follow-up project.
