Young researchers working at organisations members of (one of the following) associations, ECTRI, FEHRL, FERSI, EURNEX, HUMANIST or US Universities (via Transportation Research Board), are invited to submit abstracts under the following domains.
This Seminar targets preferably PhD students; Postdoctoral may also be accepted, within their 1-2 years after PhD.
YRS 2023 transport research domains
- Transport economics, policy, and transport behaviour
- Transport sustainability and environment
- Transport safety
- Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) & Traffic management
- Transport logistics and freight
- Transport engineering
Papers dealing with current transport challenges such as green mobility, decarbonisation, circular economy, climate change, electrification, digitalisation & connectivity, autonomous & unmanned transport systems, new mobility services and transport system resilience and safe system approaches will be given particular attention and focus for this Seminar.
Submission of Abstracts
The proposed abstracts should be submitted in English and submitted according to the following format:
• Paper title
• Abstract (up to 1000 words)
• Keywords
• Research domain (among the 6 domains of the seminar)
• Authors’ contact details and affiliation

February 1, 2023: Deadline for full draft paper submission, registration and fee payment
February – May 2023: Exchange between tutors and young researchers
May 5, 2023: Deadline for submission of final paper
May 12, 2023: Deadline for submission of presentation
May 17-19, 2023: Attendance of the YRS 2023
