The YRS 2005 took place on 11-13 May 2005 in The Hague, The Netherlands.
The YRS 2005 offered the opportunity to extend the network of young transport researchers belonging to ECTRI, FEHRL and FERSI members. Moreover young researchers were able to improve their presentation skills in written and oral scientific communication by tutorial means and on a retroactive basis.
Programme
The seminar focussed on five research domains:
– Transport economics and transport behaviour
– Transport sustainability and environment
– Transport safety
– Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS)
– Transport Road Engineering
These domains were presented in workshops.
Target group
YRS 2005 was meant for young researchers who work at organisations that belong to ECTRI, FERHL and FEHRL. They were preferably post doctorates (less than 5 years working experience) and their work field covers one of the five research areas.
Organizer of the Seminar 2005
Young Researchers Seminar 2005 was organised by DVS, TNO and SWOV, in The Hague, The Netherlands. The three organizors have over forty years long tradition of research and development.
