SUMMARY:13th ECTRI TG Safety Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Presentation of the Webinar: \nTitle: Unintrusive Comprehensive Obtaining of Safety indicators – Results of the AIT Mobility Observation Box in Safety Evaluations\, by Apostolos Ziakopoulos from NTUA and Andreas Hula from AIT  \nAbstract: Easy to deploy and rich in safety relevant data that it produces\, the Mobility Observation Box (MOB) has fulfilled customer needs in analyzing workspace safety\, traffic planning\, before-after analyses\, CCAM safety assessments and intervention analyses in Horizon Europe-funded projects (AMIGOS) alike. The presentation will highlight how the MOB can enable advanced modelbuilding in safety research and allow for high-quality quantitative impact assessments in road safety with many potential applications. A case study will be presented\, featuring the collaboration of AIT with NTUA for the micro-spatial analysis of Surrogate Safety Measures in an urban intersection. \nSeminars are open to the ECTRI Members.\nPlease contact the Secretariat if you are interested to join: www.ectri.org/contact/

SUMMARY:23rd ECTRI TG Economics & Policy Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Presentation of the Webinar: \nTitle: Waterborne public transport: A feasibility study on agent-based simulation and CBA readiness\, by Henrik Sjöstrand\, Senior Analyst at the Department of Transport Economics at the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI)\, Stockholm\, Sweden. \nAbstract: The feasibility study further develops and applies the WUM (Waterborne Urban Mobility) agent-based model in MATSim to analyze two novel electric ferry concepts in Stockholm\, where Candela’s boats use hydrofoiling technology. The results show increased peak-hour demand but also capacity challenges. The study also examines how WUM can support improved cost-benefit analysis of waterborne public transport and provides a basis for larger future network studies. \nSeminars are open to the ECTRI Members.\nPlease contact the Secretariat if you are interested to join: www.ectri.org/contact/
