SUMMARY:17th ECTRI Economics & Policy Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Title of the Presentation: \n‘Impacts of Shared E-scooters on Urban Transportation Systems‘ by Dr. Gabriel Dias \nBio of Gabriel Dias: \nDr. Gabriel Dias is a postdoctoral researcher at LNEC Department of Transportation. He recently finished his PhD in civil engineering at the University of Minho (supervisors: Paulo Ribeiro & Elisabete Arsenio). The research was funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. In his doctoral studies\, he focused on applying discrete choice models to estimate the possible modal shift from cars to more sustainable modes of transportation\, including buses\, shared e-bikes\, shared e-scooters\, and walking in commutes and leisure trips. His studies also led to the assessment of how shared e-scooter usage can affect  city transportation planning and policy \nSeminars are open to the ECTRI Members.\nPlease contact the Secretariat if you are interested to join: www.ectri.org/contact/
