DESCRIPTION:Presentation from the webinar: \nTransport chain emission calculation and the new ISO 14083  by Verena Ehrler (Uni Eiffel). \nIn order to improve the sustainability of transport chains\, a standard approach for their emission calculation is required as basis for meaningful comparissons – between different chains\, over time\, or over networks.\nInitiated by ECTRI TG freight and logistics\, the COFRET (Carbon Footprint of Freight Transport) project was launched in 2011. This was followed-up by the Smart Freight Centre-led LEARN (Logistics Emissions Accounting and Reduction Network) project and finally led to the current works on ISO 14083. In the webinar the development towards the norm\, its structure and an oulook beyond ISO 14083 will be shared. \nSeminars are opened to any ECTRI Member. But what are the lasting consequences of this shift? Is it actually possible to significantly reduce carbon emissions by increasing teleworking? Or are we just shifting trips to other purposes\, for example leisure trips to get out more often when we don’t go to work?
