Meet the newly appointed ECTRI Thematic Groups and leaderships teams

ECTRI is proud to present the newly appointed Thematic Groups (TGs) Leadership Teams (2025–2027) – key drivers of our strategic goals and scientific impact in the transport research landscape.

What are ECTRI Thematic Groups?
ECTRI TGs are long-term, content-oriented working groups composed of researchers from ECTRI Members. They work on common positions and data-driven solutions for today’s most pressing transport issues through a multimodal and interdisciplinary lens.

Our TGs aim to:
Define research priorities for supporting EU policies and programmes
Increase participation in EU-funded projects
Promote scientific knowledge exchange and collaboration

At present, ECTRI has 5 Thematic Groups, each addressing vital aspects of transport research:

Mobility (Leader: Dr. Maria Morfoulaki | Rapporteurs: Julia Jarass, Dana Sitanyiova, Kristin Tovaas)
