On May 22, the ECTRI Thematic Group on Traffic Management & Modelling hosted an enlightening webinar featuring cutting-edge research in the field of and automated vehicles traffic and AI applied to transport.
The webinar included the following presentation:
“Optimal Path Planning of CAVs in Lane-free Traffic” by Niloufar Dabestani, Technical University of Crete, presenting mathematical models to plan the best possible paths for automated vehicles on road.
“Combining AI with transport models: Experiences from Norway” by Stefan Flügel, Transportøkonomisk institutt (Norwegian Centre for Transport Research), explaining AI can be combined with traditional transport models in Norway to enhance strategic transport planning
