The 2025 ITF Summit on Enhancing Transport Resilience to Global Shocks will take place from 21 to 23 May 2025 in Leipzig, Germany, under the Presidency of Chile.
For the third year in a row as part of the main Summit programme and complementing the core sessions, the “Spotlight on Research sessions” will continue to support policy makers in planning their future actions, by drawing on evidence and insights from the research community.
As part of the cooperation with ITF, ECTRI, together with the Transportation Research Board (TRB), the European Commission, and the World Conference on Transport Research Society (WCTRS), is co-organizing three sessions, aligned with the overarching theme of the Summit:
1. Bridging Inequalities and Supporting SDGs, Wednesday May 21, 9h-10h30, CCL Hall 2
2. Advancing Climate and Environmental Preparedness, Thursday May 22, 15h30-17h00, CCL Hall 3
3. Harnessing Innovation and Digital Solutions, with a presentation by ECTRI Member Gernot Liedtke, DLR, on “Designing Resilient Transport Networks – From Theory to Practice”, Friday May 23, 9h-10h30, CCL Hall 3
