We’re excited to share the latest on the 12th Young Researchers Seminar (YRS), taking place 3–5 June 2025 in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, and hosted by Federal Highway and Transport Research Institute.
The scientific programme features 14 technical sessions across key transport research domains:
- 3 sessions on transport economics and policy (including labour economics)
- 3 sessions on transport sustainability, environment and energy
- 5 sessions on transport safety, travel behaviour and active mobility
- 1 session on transport logistics and freight
- 2 sessions on transport engineering (road and railway infrastructures)
Participants will also benefit from keynote speeches by Prof. Markus Oeser and Prof. Dr. Meike Jipp, and cross-cutting sessions on: AI in research, Publishing research, EU projects and Opportunities for TRA 2026.
Beyond academic exchange, a curated social programme will foster connections – including a tour of BASt’s facilities, a guided tour of Cologne, and many networking moments.
We’re looking forward to another inspiring and enriching edition of YRS!
