The ITF Pre-Summit Research Day 2022 was held on May 17 in Leipzig, under the topic of “Transport for Inclusive Societies”. The objective of the event is to foster stronger links between transport research and policy making by bringing together top academics researchers and practitioners to present and discuss topics relevant to the Summit’s theme.
The one-day programme started with the welcoming remarks from Young Tae Kim, ITF Secretary General and the different co-organisers highest representatives, including Angelos Bekiaris, the ECTRI President.
It followed with the four topics sessions, where the selected authors presented and discussed with the audience – of students, representatives from governments, cities, and other decision makers – on how to make transport be a tool for inclusive and sustainable societies.

The 2022 ITF Pre-Summit Research Day was organised by the ITF, together with ECTRI, the European Commission, the US TRB and the WCTRS.
