ECTRI Thematic Group on “Safety” met and set up their workplan on May 20, 2021

The first meeting of the Thematic Group (TG) on Safety led by the new leadership team took place online on May 20, 2021.  More than 40 experts are member of that TG.

The meeting started with a welcome introduction from the new leadership team and a “members’ tour de table”. Afterwards the members were informed about the latest and upcoming ECTRI developments by Caroline Alméras (ECTRI). 

The members reviewed the priority areas defined in the ECTRI Position Paper (Research Needs in the Field of Transport Safety, June 2019) and discussed opportunities for participation in the upcoming Horizon Europe calls along the research topics of interest to the members. Finally, they discussed new actions to strengthen the networking and exchange among the members.
