ECTRI 2021 Spring Assembly held successfully

On April 28, ECTRI held its Spring Assembly. A busy agenda was scheduled for this online meeting.

First the Board presented the Implementation and action plan (IP) for its two-year mandate that was prepared following the adoption of the ECTRI Strategy 2021-2030 in December. The IP operationalises ECTRI’s Vision, Missions and Strategic Objectives by setting up operational objectives with targeted actions, timeline, responsibilities, and milestones. The IP was adopted unanimously by the Members, as well as the 2020 accounts, and 2022 membership fees.

In addition, Pekka Leviäkangas, presented the key facts, figures and ambition for future collaboration with the ECTRI community of the University of Oulu, which joined the association as new Member in 2021.

The Assembly closed the morning session with a Tour de table, where Members informed about relevant facts or events that took or will take place in their respective organisation and countries.

In the afternoon a webinar was organised on “Opening up, publishing, discussing research: few paths for disseminating ECTRI Members’ research knowledge”. It was open to the ECTRI Thematic groups members and more than 60 experts joined the discussion. After a brief introduction of the Thematic Groups leadership team and plans, three presentations were offered to attendants:

Natalia Manola on Opening up research! TOPOS “Transport Observatory/platform for Open Science”: a new gateway to transport research resources.

Prof. Karst Geurs on Publishing research! ETRR Journal developments and opportunities

Elisabete Arsenio on Discussing research!  TRA2022 Conference prospects

ECTRI thanks all Members for their contributions to another successful and productive meeting.
