ECTRI Thematic Groups Safety and Security & Risk Analysis hold their Annual Meeting

The ECTRI Thematic Groups on “Safety” and “Security & Risk Analysis” met online for a common meeting, on November 30, 2020.

The TG members were informed about the main ECTRI  & Horizon Europe developments, then they focus on reviewing their actions after last meeting, discussing the update of their position paper and sharing experience from last H2020 calls.

Furthermore, four members presented their research work (please click on the links to see the presentations):

Emmanuel Matsika (UNEW): Addressing Cyber-Physical Threats in Railway Systems – The EU SAFETY4RAILS Project

Apostolos Ziakopoulos (NTUA): Assessing the impact of personalized feedback on driving and riding behaviour through a smartphone application

Christine Eisenmann  (DLR): The impact of COVID-19 on travel behaviour in Germany

George Yannis (NTUA): Impact of COVID-19 on traffic safety behaviour in Greece and worldwide

ECTRI thanks the participants and in particular, the group leaders, Ralf Hedel (Fraunhofer) and Meike Jipp (DLR).

From 2021, both groups will continue to operate along the same three objectives: identifying key research priorities, increasing projects participation, and sharing scientific knowledge. The Security group will also be renamed Security and Resilience.
