ECTRI, the European Conference of Transport Research Institutes, is an international non-profit organisation that was founded in April 2003. Its members are 26 major transport research institutes or universities from 19 European countries. Together, they account for more than 4000 European scientific and research staff in the field of transport.

ECTRI's aim is to help build the "European Research Area" (ERA) in transport by cooperation in thematic and process oriented working groups, task forces, Framework Programme projects, seminars and conferences.

arrow ECTRI, through its Thematic Group 'Safety' has provided inputs to the 'EC Stakeholders meeting on vehicle technologies to enhance road safety' of March 8, 2013.

arrow City-HUB, an ECTRI supported project recently launched, looks at design and operation of seamless, smart, clean and safe intermodal public transport systems, and addressing how these interchanges should ensure that “vulnerable” target groups can adequately benefit from them. The project is coordinated by ECTRI Member UPM with as partners from ECTRI: CDV, HIT, Ifsttar, KTI, TØI, TRL and VTT.

arrow The 8th Scientific International Conference TRANSBALTICA 2013 is to be held on May 9 - 10, 2013 in Vilnius, Lithuania. ECTRI supports this conference co-organized by its member VGTU-TMI.

arrow The 16th International Conference “Road Safety on Four Continents - RS4C” is to be held on May 15-17, 2013 in Beijing, China. The conference is co-organized by ECTRI Member VTI.

arrow ECTRI Member TTI support the 'Reliability and Statistics in Transportation and Communication Conference - RELSTAT`13'' conference, which takes place on October 16-19, 2013 in Riga, Latvia. A call for papers has been launched with a deadline on April 28, 2013.

arrow The Transport Research Arena -TRA 2014 conference organised by the French Ecology and Sustainable Developement Ministry and ECTRI Member Ifsttar, takes place in Paris, France on April 14 - 17, 2014. A call for abstracts and invited sessions is open with a deadline on April 30, 2013 (extended deadline).
