ECTRI, the European Conference of Transport Research Institutes, is an international non-profit organisation that was founded in April 2003. Its members are 28 major transport research institutes or universities from 20 European countries. Together, they account for more than 4000 European scientific and research staff in the field of transport.

ECTRI's aim is to help build the "European Research Area" (ERA) in transport by cooperation in thematic and process oriented working groups, task forces, Framework Programme projects, seminars and conferences.

arrow The European Conference of Transport Research Institutes (ECTRI) supports the 40th European Transport Conference held on October 8-10, 2012. The Call for Papers and preliminary information has been issued.

arrow The DETRA project to develop the European Transport Research Alliance will feature as a Special Session entitled "Developing the European Transport Research Alliance (DETRA)" at TRA2012 on Wednesday 25th April 2012 from 18.05-19.20.

arrow In the frame of the ECTRI-TRB MoU, ECTRI has actively contributed by organising and participating in a number of sessions to the Transportation Research Board (TRB) 91st Annual Meeting organized in Washington, D.C., USA on January 22-26, 2012.

arrowThe EUTRAIN Launching event for Network of Related Entities (NRE) is organized in Washington DC on 24 January 2012. The draft agenda is available now. The registration to this event is limited to confirmed participants only.

“Network Related Entities ‐ NRE”, are a wider network of “players” in transport research (approximately 100) covering the entire world, and who are asked to provide inputs to the projects, via the project’s electronic interaction platform and e‐mails; and they are also invited to participate in all project workshops and Conference -at their own costs.

arrow The next DETRA workshop, organized by EURNEX on the project’s WP3 "Strengthening Research Institutions" and WP6 “international cooperation” to improve European Research Area supporting world class research will be held on February 13-14, 2012 in Berlin, Germany. The agenda of the Workshop is now available.

arrowThe EIB launched a public consultation in view of the revision of its transport lending policy, which concluded in December 2011 with the adoption of a revised policy. It was the first sector policy the Bank consulted upon publicly. The ECTRI contribution to this consultation was well received and recognized as an important input for the revised policy adopted by EIB as you may see from the EIB matrix.

arrow ECTRI supports the 6th Euro American Conference on Telematics and Information Systems EATIS 2012,  Valencia, Spain, May 23 - 25, 2012 organized by ECTRI Member LISITT-UVEG. A call of papers has been launched. This conference is supported by ECTRI.
