The YRS 2015 is scheduled on June 17-19, 2015 in Rome, Italy.

This seminar offers the opportunity to extend the network of young transport researchers belonging to ECTRI, FEHRL and FERSI members as well as from TRB. Moreover young researchers are able to improve their presentation skills in written and oral scientific communication by tutorial means and on a retroactive basis.

Therefore, this conference is not only aims at scientific excellence, but also at presentation skills and the ability to put science into practice.

Key dates:

- September 1, 2014: Launch of call for abstracts and call for tutors
- October 10, 2014:  Submission of abstracts and nomination of tutors deadline
- Mid-December 2014: notification of acceptance/rejection of Young Researchers abstracts and of Tutors candidacies
- February 14, 2015: Submission of full draft paper deadline
- February 14 to May 15, 2015: Exchanges between tutors and young researchers
- May 15, 2015: Submission of final paper deadline
- May 22, 2015: Submission of powerpoint presentation deadline
- 17-19 June, 2015: Holding of the Young Researchers Seminar

Transport Research Domains

The seminar focused on following research domains:
- Transport economics, policy and transport behaviour
- Transport sustainability and environment
- Transport safety
- Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) & Traffic
- Transport Civil and Road Engineering

Please note that only abstracts from young researchers coming from ECTRI, FEHRL and FERSI member institutes as well as from TRB will be accepted.  

Target group

YRS 2015 is meant for young researchers working at institutes belonging to ECTRI, FEHRL and FERSI and from TRB. They are preferably post doctorates (less than 5 years working experience) and their work field covers one of the research areas.

Attention will be put on ensuring a balanced representation among the institutes.
