The subject of this Thematic Working Group is Transport, Urban Environment, and Health.

Objective
- bringing together ECTRI researchers working within the field of noise and noise related quality of life and health issues
- providing a platform for further areas of cooperation

Planned activities:
Group reseach activities focused on transport related emissions and their impact on welfare and health, and on dedicated measures to reduce the environmental and health impacts of road transport in urban areas forming the core of consortia for submitting proposals for FP7 calls
- establishing a matrix of competences within ECTRI that can aid cross pollination for national research and for establishing ad hoc groups for writing bilateral, EC and international research proposals
- establishing and sharing common knowledge resources
- establishing and providing access to common ECTRI toolkits, and methodologies

FP7 project ENNAH:
Several experts of this TWG are involved in a FP7 project called "ENNAH - European Network on Noise And Health". The coordinator of the project is Queen Mary & Westfield College (QMUL), United Kingdom. The project involves 27 partners, including ECTRI members DLR, IFSTTAR, TNO and TØI.
