Knowledge4Innovation Forum in cooperation with Technology Partners Foundation, Brussels, Belgium - November 19, 2014

On November 19, ECTRI President G. Giannopoulos presented the ECTRI position at the 6th European Innovation Summit session “Towards a better European Transport System” in the European Parliament. On this occasion, he met with MEP and ITRE Committee Chair, Prof. Jerzy Buzek.

 

   
 

Ageing and Safe Mobility - A European Interdisciplinary Conference, Bergisch Gladbach, Germany - November 27-28, 2014

ECTRI coorganised with other key stakeholders a Conference on 'Ageing and Safe Mobility' on November 27 - 28, 2014 at the BASt premises in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany. ECTRI nominated the key speaker Rob Methorst, Senior Advisor Safety from Rijkswaterstaat. Björn Peters, Senior Research Leader at VTI was co-chairing the Human Factors Session.

 

   
 

Mobility Convention Conference

ECTRI Member DLR co-hosted the Mobility Convention Conference on November 6 - 7, 2014 in Cologne, Germany. ECTRI President George Giannopoulos was one of the speakers as well as Barbara Lenz of DLR.

   
 

7th ECITL Conference

ECTRI supported the 7th ECITL Conference on November 5-7, 2014 in Dortmund, Germany. The Conference was coorganised by ECTRI Member Fraunhofer.

   
 

ETC 2014, European Transport Conference, Frankfurt, Germany - September 29th - October 1st, 2014

ECTRI's Secretary General chaired a session at ETC2014 on October 1st: "Encouraging effective use of research results"

5th WliT Conference "Women's Issue in Transport", Paris, France - April 14-16, 2014

The 5th WliT Conference "Women's Issue in Transport - Bridging the Gap" organised by ECTRI Member Ifsttar was held on April 14-16, 2014 in Paris, France. This event supported by ECTRI aimed at identifying and addressing issues specific to women’s use and involvement in the transportation system and to ensure that transportation systems meet women’s needs.

 
 

2014 TRB Annual Meeting

The theme of the 2014 TRB Annual Meeting was 'Celebrating Our Legacy, Anticipating Our Future'. In the frame of the ECTRI-TRB Memorandum of Understanding, ECTRI has actively contributed through the organization of a number of ECTRI supported sessions.
