About ECTRI - Legal issues

The European Conference of Transport Research Institutes (ECTRI) was officially set up in April 2003 by 15 national transport research institutes and universities of 13 European Countries.

ECTRI is an international non-profit association registered in France and governed by French law. Its Statutes (English version, French version) have been approved and signed in December 2002 by the founding members. It has been revised on 2 occasions: in June 2008, for the transfer of headquarters from Arcueil to Bron and in June 2009, for amending the "members" article.

They also signed, in January 2003, a Cooperation Agreement.
